ONLINE MENTORING / SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT AS A COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE: THE PERSPECTIVE OF VOLUNTEER / MENTOR STUDENTS

This report builds on the first materials generated in part of the E-Belong 1 Erasmus Project in which a mentor training guide was proposed and adapted for use across institutional contexts (and eventually produced in four languages: Spanish, English, Romanian and Greek). In the Fall of 2022 we conducted two online focus group (FG) discussion sessions with a combination of Madrid and Bucharest university mentor students. One session focused on newly enrolled university students in the program (‘novices) and was attended by 10 university mentors. A second session focused on students who had been participating in the program for more than a year (‘veterans’) and was attended by 9 university mentors. The reports provides an analysis and discussion of these materials within the overal project. Full report:
