Andrea Dyrness

(C) I am an associate professor in the School of Education,  University of Colorado – Boulder. I teach in the areas of international and urban education, and my research addresses the relationship between education, cultural identity, and citizenship in societies affected by transnational migration. I have conducted research with transnational Latino communities in California, El Salvador, and Spain. I received my B.A. in Anthropology & Educational Studies from Brown University and a Masters and Ph.D. in Social & Cultural Studies in Education from the University of California at Berkeley, and was a Fulbright Fellow in El Salvador.
