This collaborative video-documentary reflects part of our with a group of pre-teens and teenagers from a community organization in downtown Madrid that provides socio-educational support to at-risk children in Madrid. Between October 2025 – June 2026 we organized several workshops with these youth and supported community events led by the organization. We provided participants with video and audio-recorders. We worked with them to reflect on their experiences in the neighborhood. The adolescents and pre-teens in the project conducted all the interviews with residents and visitors and were in charge of all the field video-recordings. The final production of the documentary was completed by the research team (led by David Poveda) with the guidance and feedback of participants. The final version was screened and approved by the participating young people. The video-documentary is one of the major deliverables and outcomes of fieldwork in Madrid within the Contemporary Childhoods (CON-CHY) CIVIS Open Lab Project.
